Delchevo village - nesting like an eagle on the slopes of the Southern Pirin Mountains, just below the city of Gotse Delchev and the valley surrounded by the Rila, Rhodopi and Pirin Mountains. Established during the XV century, today the village has about 80 houses, with 30 of them beeing cultural monuments, with a total of 70 habitants. In 1838 one of the oldest churches in the region was build - Uspenie Bogorodichno.

The village is located at about 1050 m above sea level (610 m below the city) and is 9 km away from Gotse Delchev, which can be passed for about 15 minutes drive on an asphalt road. Other distances from the village are as follows: 18 km from the Bulgarian-Greek border, and respektively 50 km from Drama and 90 km from Kavala, Greece, and last but not least - it is about 200 km from Sofia.

Near the village there is the balneotherapy resort of Ognianovo, the first ski and golf resort - the city of Bansko, the Dospat damn with rich reserves on trought and carp. The area is very suitable for mountain and ecological tourism, hunting, herb picking, mushrooms and all that away from any industrial zones. The village is spreading alongside the rocky terrain amongst the beech trees.

More and more people are drawn to Delchevo for tourism as well as for permanent residence, due to the 15 minute drive to the main city and the virgin moutnain slopes, observing from bird's view the valley and villages below.
